The Canon EOS Rebel T2i with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS optional kit lens is a complete picture taking machine. The latest Rebel features an LCD that swings out and can be positioned at a variety of angles, full HD video recording, wireless flash control, a respectable continuous shooting mode, and the same high resolution, 18 megapixel sensor as its predecessor, the EOS Rebel T3i.
Canon EOS Rebel T2i DLSR Camera Charger For about $1, 200, you can have a versatile camera/lens combination that would serve most hobbyists quite well. The 18-55mm is still available as the kit lens, bringing the price down to less than $900. So if you have a tighter budget, it's great to have that option.
At the heart of the EOS T2i is an 18-megapixel APS-C sensor powered by a DIGIC 4 processor. It can record images up to 5, 184 x 3, 456 pixels. The optical viewfinder provides 95 percent view, and the Vari-Angle 3-inch LCD shows 100 percent view with 1, 040, 000 dots of resolution. Data is recorded to an SD card, and the camera is SDHC and SDXC compatible.
When you look through the optical viewfinder, you see 9 autofocus points. The center AF point is cross-type, and is the most sensitive of the group. So when you're letting the camera determine the focus for the shot, it has a wide area of coverage with 9 sensors detecting objects in the frame. The pop-up flash provides a wide enough coverage area to properly illuminate subjects with the kit lens attached, plus it serves as the wireless trigger for off-camera flash control with Canon Speediest.
Maximum continuous shooting speed is 3.7 fps, which compares favorably with the competition. The camera is powered by a rechargeable Canon LP-E8 battery. Body weight is 18.2 oz without a lens attached. The T2i feels light, but sturdy in the hands and is well balanced with either the 18-55mm or the 18-135mm zoom. If you're on the go, this camera won't weigh you down.
Physically, the T2i isn't very different than its predecessor Canon EOS Rebel T2i Charger with the exception of the Vary-Angle LCD that swings out from the back of the camera. However, there are some notable changes inside this latest model from Canon.
With kit lens, the 18-55mm or the 18-135mm, the Canon T2i provides excellent image quality in terms of sharpness and detail. If you're tempted to upgrade to the 18-135mm kit lens for its extended zoom range (29-216mm in 35mm terms), then it's probably worth the bump in price. But in terms of image quality, the 18-55mm holds its own nicely against the upgraded zoom. So don't expect better pictures with the more expensive kit option. Base your decision on zooming range, not picture quality.
As for its video mode, the movies live up to the hype. You can produce excellent HD video with terrific audio (provided you use an external mic) with the T2i. It earned a word score of very Good for video quality, and Good for audio quality. Here are sample clips that we shot in bright indoor lighting and in low light with the EOS Rebel T2i Charger. How do i fix my cracked dslr camera screen?
I took my canon rebel t2i out of my bag the other day and saw the screen was cracked. Everything works fine the screen isn't black or anything, the only problem is the lcd window is cracked. I was thinking about ordering a new window for it so i can repair it myself. The problem is i don't know how. Can anybody help?............... this is the window and tape i want to order

Best DSLR for my price range?
Just yesterday I had my mind set on getting a Canon Rebel T2i, I had been planning on getting this camera for the last few months until I found out that Canon was competing more on the megapixel level than resolution/quality level. At this moment I am looking for Camera bodies up to $600 and thinking about getting a 50mm 1.4 lense. I can sway from Canon but I would like to stay with them if possible.

With any high magnification binoculars, most users will experience frustrating image shake. Unless fixed to a tripod, image shake can render high magnification binoculars useless. Canon's IS technology is remarkably effective at eliminating this problem and is widely used by the television industry with Canon's professional broadcast quality video recording equipment. A special VAP (Vari-Angle Prism) corrective IS system sits between the objective lens group and the porro prism on each side of the binoculars. Within thousandths of a second of the binoculars being moved from their optical axis by vibrations, a detection system activates the IS mechanism. The VAP shape alters to refract or 'bend' the light path by precisely the right amount, thus fully compensating for the vibration. It is this essentially immediate response that effectively suppresses image shake.
Super Spectra Coating
A number of optical factors affect the brightness of an image, including the amount of incidental light that is reflected by the lens. An uncoated lens will refelect away as much as 8% of the incidentail light, significantly dimming the image. Canon's Super Spectra Coating prevents that reflection.
What do the numbers mean?
15x50? 8x25? The two numbers used to describe any pair of binoculars are their magnification — 8x, 12x, 15x and so on — and the diameter of their objective lenses — 25mm, 36mm, 50mm, and so on. The larger the first number is, the larger the object will appear to be in the objective lens. For instance, if you use a 10x lens and look at an object that is 100 yards away, it appears to be the same size as an object located just 10 yards away. The second number, the size of the objective lens, is important because the larger the objective lens, the more light it can admit for brighter, more detailed images, and the better suited they will be for lowlight situations.

Celestron 52250 80mm Ultima Zoom Spotting Scope
Celestron’s popular Ultima 80mm Zoom Spotting Scope offers images that are noticeably brighter and sharper than entry level 60mm spotters. The Ultima 80 is a refractor style spotting scope with an Achromatic objective lens. Excellent light transmission is assured by multi-layer anti-reflection coatings on the objective lens as well as on the zoom eyepiece and the BAK-4 prisms. The multi-coated 80mm objective lens delivers 77% brighter views than a 60mm scope, and the built in zoom lens produces sharp images from 20X all the way up to 60X magnification.
The Ultima 80 features a sleek, waterproof design and includes a padded soft case with zippers on both ends so the scope can be protected even while mounted on a tripod. Including the eyepiece the Ultima 80 measures just over 18 inches long and weighs about 3.6 pounds. The rubber eyecup can be removed to expose a standard “T-thread” for attaching a camera. I like the 45* angled eyepiece because I can use a shorter tripod to support the spotting scope while viewing or while taking pictures with a small camera attached to the eyepiece.
The focus ranges from 27 feet to the horizon with just a few turns of the focus knob. When I fold down the rubber eye cup I can keep my glasses on and see the whole 2 degree field of view at 20X magnification. With my glasses on I need very little focus adjustment while I crank the zoom eyepiece from 20X up to 60X. Sometimes though I like to take my glasses off while observing because the view seems to have just a little more contrast and sharpness. I like the fact that the Ultima 80 gives me a sharp image either way.
The drawback of the tradition crown and flint achromatic lens used in the Ultima 80 Zoom Spotting Scope is a bit of false color, also known as blue fringing or chromatic aberration. Blue fringing seems well controlled at 20X magnification, but it becomes increasingly noticeable as I zoom up to 60X. Celestron also offers the Ultima 80ED and the Regal 80 F-ED spotting scopes which use exotic ED glass lenses to virtually eliminate blue fringing and produce the sharpest possible high power views.
